  • BANJA LUKA – Thousands of visitors danced and sang as one during the second night of the Freshwave Festival, as the Main Stage brought together regional hip-hop and rock with some of the biggest names on the international electronic music scene.

Elemental, Zoster and Grše led the audience through a powerful concert programme, while Fiona Kraft, Patrice Bäumel, Coeus and Mladen Tomić took over the main stage after midnight. The diverse programme once again showcased Freshwave’s distinctive character, bringing different genres, performers and generations of music lovers together in one place.

Elemental opened the Main Stage programme and immediately lifted the atmosphere with some of the band’s best-known songs. A particularly memorable moment came when the audience sang along to some of the Zagreb band’s oldest tracks, much to Remi’s surprise and delight.

Speaking shortly before the performance about the connection between artists and their audience, Remi emphasized that singing together and sharing emotions are the moments that give music its full meaning.

“When we sing the chorus, the audience and us, all in one voice, that is the moment when we connect with them completely and become one. Our vibrations come together, and somehow we breathe as one,” Remi said.

She added that a special feeling emerges when an artist sees that songs created months or years earlier continue to live through the audience.

“When you perform a song and see people singing with you the lyrics you created in your own world, months or years before, you realize that they mean something to them. When they sing and feel those words with the same passion that you do, that is the moment when we become one with the audience,” Remi emphasized.

After Elemental, the crowd eagerly welcomed Zoster. The audience sang along from the first song to the last, responding equally well to the band’s new material and the older songs that have been part of the Mostar band’s repertoire for years.

The highlight of the concert segment came when Grše stepped onto the Main Stage. Hit after hit followed, including “Forza,” “Fantazija,” “Mangio Pasta” and “Tokyo Drift,” with the crowd knowing almost every word and returning the energy from the stage with equal intensity.

The area within the walls of Kastel Fortress was filled to capacity, and thousands of voices turned Grše’s performance into one of the standout moments of the second festival night.

    Electronic Rhythms Until Dawn

The energy on the Main Stage showed no signs of fading after the concert segment ended. Fiona Kraft took over the decks at midnight and opened the electronic chapter of the night, followed by Patrice Bäumel, one of the most prominent names on this year’s festival line-up.

Coeus and Mladen Tomić continued the programme, guiding the audience through the final hours of Freshwave’s second night. The combination of major live performances and electronic sets kept the rhythm going on the main stage until dawn.

The programme also unfolded simultaneously across the festival’s two other stages. Doel, Milhouse, Luka Čikić, Vahicabi, Nigel, Commissar Lag and Tara Bluu performed on the Energy Stage, while Dave b2b S.Mo, Lidija, ARYA, Filipp, SARA, Ladjarsky, SER Joe and Maja b2b Delulu kept the Funk You Stage moving.
