French producer Sébastien Léger and Scottish DJ Denis Sulta are the latest major names confirmed for the 14th edition of Freshwave Festival, taking place from August 6 to 8 at the historic Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka.
The two artists, whose names have long been featured on the line-ups of the world’s biggest festivals and clubs, will headline this year’s edition of the festival.
Representing different generations of electronic music, both artists have built distinctive careers, with every performance offering a unique musical experience.
For more than three decades, Sébastien Léger has been regarded as one of electronic music’s most authentic and respected artists. A DJ and producer whose performances have graced festivals such as Tomorrowland and Coachella, as well as the spectacular Cercle show in front of the Pyramids of Giza, Léger is renowned for his hypnotic sets, melodic sound and uncompromising commitment to originality.
Through his own label, Lost Miracle, he has created a distinctive musical identity that blends emotion, groove and world-class production, making him one of the most influential figures on the melodic house and techno scene.
Léger is one of the rare artists who has remained relevant for more than 30 years not by following trends, but by creating them. His sets are never simply a collection of tracks, but carefully crafted musical journeys that guide audiences through emotion, rhythm and atmosphere.
Joining him on the festival line-up is an artist who has helped define a new generation of house and techno. In just a few years, Denis Sulta has gone from working in a local record store to performing on some of the world’s biggest stages. Support from artists such as Four Tet, Ben UFO and Annie Mac opened the doors to the global scene, while his Boiler Room performances, watched by millions online, confirmed what audiences already knew: Denis Sulta is one of the most exciting DJs of his generation.
His infectious energy behind the decks, unpredictable track selection and ability to seamlessly blend house, techno, disco and euphoric melodies have made him a regular guest at events including Circoloco, Time Warp, Awakenings and Panorama Bar. Every set delivers a unique atmosphere, establishing him as one of the most sought-after names in contemporary electronic music.
The arrival of Léger and Sulta further reinforces this year’s festival concept, “Enter the Nexus,” an idea that dissolves the boundaries between musical styles, generations and scenes, bringing them together into one immersive festival experience.
Alongside its electronic music programme, Freshwave has also completed the line-up for its Live Stage, featuring some of the region’s most popular acts. Festival audiences at Kastel Fortress can look forward to performances by Grše, Buč Kesidi, Zoster, Let 3, Vojko V, Z++ and Elemental, once again highlighting Freshwave’s signature diversity.
For fourteen years, Freshwave Festival has successfully combined world-class electronic music with the best of the regional live scene, transforming Kastel Fortress into a meeting point for thousands of visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the wider region and across Europe.
From August 6 to 8, Banja Luka will once again become a place where music, people and energy come together—a place where different scenes speak the same language.
