Phenomenal DJ SASHA arrives at Nektar Fresh Wave Festival due to the cancellation of John Digweed’s performance!

We change one big DJ name to another! Namely, after John Digweed had to cancel his performance at this year’s Nektar Fresh Wave Festival, the phenomenal DJ SASHA will perform on the Main stage of the festival.

DJ SASHA and John DIgweed are the most influential producers and performers of progressive electronic sound, and together they marked the development, affirmation and popularization of one of the most listened to directions of electronic music on the planet! Legendary are their performances that marked the twentieth era of cooperation, which began in the 1990s with their joint on album Northern Exposure. This album reach silver edition, which is one of the biggest awards for editions awarded based on the number of copies sold but also the impact on world music heritage.

John’s PR team explained the reasons why he was forced to cancel his performance at the largest electronic music festival in BiH:”Dear John Digweed fans and Fresh Wave Festival people.It’s with heavy heart we have to bring this unpleasant news to you all, just a week before the most important festival we’ve been waithing for so long, John sadly is unable to travel due to passport / visa issues. This is due to his appointment at the US Embassy to arrange his visa for the USA tour in September. This has travel restrictions out of the UK 14 days prior to going to embassy wich the Fresh Wave Festival date unfortunately falls in. John is very dissapointed about this situation but luckily his good friend and legendary artist Sasha will replace him and we believe you will all have an unforgettable musical journey”.   

Grammy Award nominee, four times International Dance Award winner, four times DJ Mag Award winner, freequent cover star, acclaimed live artist, SASHA is a man who needs no introducion. His alredy prosperous career is burgeoning exponentially as is the range of his achivements: mixing fabric 99, so many realeses on most known record labeles, famous long night sets, fantastic comiplkations such is Late Night Tales, No. 1 collaborations, most wanted progressive tunes on Essential BBC Radio 1.

All of this makes him more than worthy of a replacement for John Digweed’s performance on the Main Stage of the Nektar Fresh Wave Festival on Saturday, August 7th. Let’s hope that in addition to being more than worthy of a replacement and fantastic DJ Sasha at this edition of the festival, we have reserved the first headliner for next year in which Nektar Fresh Wave Festival celebrates its first tenth anniversary and jubilee worthy of admiration and respect.

More than 85% of VIP and 70% of regular festival tickets have already been sold out, accommodation capacities in Banja Luka are quite full, and the interest of the regional festival audience is the greatest since the festival existed. According to previous data, the festival will be visited by electronic music fans from more than 20 countries, and before the festival period this year it is marked by a large number of requests for accreditation of journalist teams from the country, region and world.

Festival tickets are available at points of sale in Banja Luka: Trg Krajina (Main city Squar Banja Luka) and Hogwarts Pub – the official pub of the festival, and are also available through the ticket service Kupikartu.ba and at their points of sale throughout the region. On sale are a package of three-day tickets at a price of 60 KM / 30 €, three-day VIP tickets at a price of 100 KM / 50 €, one-day tickets at a price of 30 KM / 15 € and one-day VIP tickets at a price of 50 KM / 25 €.

Please note that all those who kept last year’s tickets can use them to enter this year’s edition of the festival.
